1. The Privacy Principles We Follow

Your resume contains sensitive personal, professional, and financial career history. We treat it with strict confidentiality:

• No Account Required to Test: You can check your CV without creating an account or providing your email.
• Automatic 24-Hour Purge: Unclaimed CVs uploaded to the free check tool are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
• Zero Training on Your Resume: We never submit your resume or career records into public AI training corpuses.
• Never Sold: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data.

2. Information We Process

• Uploaded CV Documents & Pasted Text: Processed solely to generate your match score, identify gaps, and tailor resume bullets. Temporary uploaded files are deleted immediately after text extraction.
• Job Descriptions: Processed to compare job qualifications against your experience.
• IP Address & Rate Limits: To protect our servers against automated abuse, IP addresses for free scans are hashed using SHA-256 with a rotating daily secret salt. We do not store raw IP addresses in scan tables.
• Account Details: If you sign up, we store your name, email, and password hash (salted PBKDF2) to manage your private Career Vault.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

• Anonymous Scans: Stored for exactly 24 hours from the scan timestamp. Expired scans are removed automatically by our hourly cleanup worker.
• Registered Accounts: You can delete any individual evidence claim, career record, or your entire account and Career Vault at any time from your account settings.

4. Cookies & Security

We use standard secure session cookies (HTTPOnly, SameSite=Lax) for logged-in authentication. All network traffic is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS.
